Revision patients arrive with a harder problem than first-timers: tissue that has already been operated on. JW Plastic Surgery in Seoul treats revision of the eyes, nose and breast as its own discipline, starting from diagnosis of what the previous surgery left behind.
Why revision is a different operation
Scar tissue, adhesions, thinned or displaced structures: each prior operation changes the anatomy the next surgeon works with. In the eyes this may mean a loosened or overly high crease; in the nose, warped or depleted cartilage; in the breast, capsular contracture or implant malposition. The correction must address the cause, not just the appearance.

How JW evaluates a revision case
The consultation reconstructs the history (when and how the first surgery was done, what materials were used) through records where available and examination where not. Imaging supports the assessment for nose and breast cases. Only then is a realistic correction plan, and its limits, discussed.
Timing and expectations
Most revisions wait until tissue has stabilised, commonly six months or more after the previous operation, longer for some breast cases. A trustworthy revision consultation is one that explains what can and cannot be recovered.
