Patients often arrive at a redness consultation expecting a laser and leave having mostly answered questions. That is by design. Gwang (GLOW) Dermatology in Cheongdam walks through the first visit.
The history: your redness biography
When it started, what triggers it, how long flushing lasts, what products and medications have touched your face, including steroid creams, which matter more than most patients expect. Photos of your worst-redness days, if you brought them, do a lot of work here.

The examination
Magnified inspection maps the pattern: where vessels run, whether bumps accompany the redness, how the skin barrier looks. Different patterns point to different diagnoses: telangiectasia, rosacea, seborrheic dermatitis or a sensitized barrier.
The diagnosis conversation
You hear a name for what your skin is doing and why that name matters, because treatment routes differ. Vascular-dominant redness points to laser; inflammatory types add medical management; a damaged barrier gets repaired first.

The plan, with numbers
Expected number of sessions, intervals, what improvement to expect when, and lifestyle guidance that protects results. For overseas patients, the plan is mapped against your travel schedule, including what can be done in one visit. Response varies by individual.
